Ten Years After Live at the Fillmore East 1970 has been released by EMI Records, U.K. This exceptional two CD set was culled from the best of a two night gig at the legendary theatre on February 27 & 28, 1970. Tracks include such little-performed tunes as I Woke Up This Morning and Working on the Road and possibly the only live performance of 50,000 Miles Beneath My Brain. Liner notes by TYA drummer Ric Lee add a nice touch to the package.

Purchase this double CD through amazon.co.uk or as an import through amazon.com or anywhere that carries import CDs. Note to USA fans, you'll actually pay less buying directly from the U.K.

The U.S. release is scheduled for January 2002.

In my humble opinion, this is one of the most exciting releases of Ten Years After’s long career. Song after song would stand alone as testament to their talent, particularly Alvin Lee’s amazing lead guitar abilities. In its entirety, this collection faithfully takes us back to the excitement, raw energy and knock down, blow-em-out thrill of a Ten Years After concert. Turn down the lights, turn up the volume - you're about to be entertained by the masters.

FUTURE TEN YEARS AFTER RELEASES are planned by EMI. Currently scheduled: remastered reissues of Cricklewood Green and Sssh, both with bonues tracks. Cricklewood Green is due Sept. 18, 2001 (possibly delayed however, stay posted to alvinlee.com/news
